Efficient two-stage laser enrichment up to 99% of carbon-13 isotope by IR multiphoton dissociation of Freon molecules

Abstract A new method for two-stage laser enrichment of carbon-13 ( 13 C) by isotope-selective IR multiphoton dissociation Freon molecules is considered, which makes it possible to achieve a concentration C up 99 % or higher with high productivity. At the first stage, as result selective CF 2 HCl (Freon-22) molecules, expected obtain F 4 product enriched in 30 – 50 %. second Br (Freon-12B2) proposed be used working substance, synthesised from , and process carried out deep ‘burning-out’ 12 C-containing component. Experiments on Freon-12B2 an initial mixture oxygen pulsed CO radiation are performed. It shown that reaching no lower than at values elementary separation act parameters: 15 18 yield 40 75 selectivity molecules.
